my friend DTC has been deferred by one more year that is it will be applicable from 1-4-2012

from exam point of view it cant be asked before may 2013 attempt in my opinion

APPLICABILITY OF DTC FOR CA EXAMS
If the New Direct Tax Code comes into effect on its scheduled date of 1st April 2012, it would be applicable for CA EXAMS only from May 2013 Onwards

it will come into affect from 1/april/2011...due dates are also changed now...we have to comply it while filng return in 2012...so it means working in the financial year 2011-2012 we have to keep in mind the provisions of new tax code...!!

the DTC shall be applicable 4m April 12...subjet to approval by the houses...

if it gets approved within the time period..then it would be applicabe in  may12 exams..

the ICAI provides minimum of 6months of time 2 d students 4m the date it gets approve or applicable which ever is earlier..

for example: if d house approves d bill before dec11 then it would be applicable 4 students appearing in may12 exam..
