Draft Bank Branch Auditors Panel for 2013-14

By which date we will be receiving appointment letters from the banks?

Punjab and Sind Bank has come up with the list of Statutory Branch Auditors for 2013-14.

whether only one Punjab & Sind bank has put such a list or all banks are putting up such a list ? is there any new regulatory requierement as such now to put such a list now ?

Hi.. SSG, the list attached by you has 25 names of the audit firms.  I don't think, it is the full list.

This is the list of CA firms that were not in the last year list i.e. newly empanelled firms with PSB.

There should be equitable distribution of work. Every eligible audit firm should get atleast one branch for statutory audit, rather allotting three branches to proprietorship firms. This will definitely improve the quality of audit work. Hope ICAI take up this matter with RBI.

do you have any news of any proprietorship firm being alloted 3 branches? If yes which bank has started allotment ? 

As per guidelines, a firm can be allotted maximum upto 3 branches. Last year, three branches were alloted to proprietorship firms. Don't know yet about this year.
