Doubt regarding exemption in ca final papers

Final 262 views 3 replies

1) I have got an exemption in FR in May 2018. If I appear for both Groups in November 2018, pass in only Group 1, get exemption marks in 3 subjects of Group 2, can I carry forward these 3 paper exemptions of Group 2 to May 2019?

If, not, then maximum how many paper exemptions in Group 2 are allowed to be carried forward?

2) In the above situation, assume I have failed to clear both Groups in November 2018. Can I carry forward FR exemption of Group 1 and 3 paper exemptions of Group 2 to May 2019?

If, not, then maximum how many paper exemptions in Group 2 are allowed to be carried forward along with FR of Group 1 to May 2019?

Please reply. Thanks in advance.

u can carry only 1 exemption at a time i.e FR

The exemptions earned in one attempt can be used for the subsequent three attempts.

For any attempt, let it be may or november, the exemptions received during any one sitting can be utilised. That is to say, exemptions got in two subsequent attempts cannot be claimed in the subsequent attempt.

Once if you do not choose to avail that shall lapse.

Accordinly,

1. When you have 1 paper exemption in Group 1, you can claim the same for subsquent attempt.

2. Incase you fail the Group 1, but have got 3 exepmtions in Group 2, you can either claim exemption of Group 1 got in earlier attempt OR exemption got in the current attempt.

3. If you choose, any one set, the other shall be lapsed. and no longer be available to claim.

Hope this clarifies.
