Can someone please tell me why do we record or takein to considration NOTION EXPENSES in costing ?

what is the purpose/logic behind it ?

YA SOME TIME WE ALSO CONSIDER NOTIONAL EXPENSES FOR PROFORMANCE APPARISAL OF PROJECT

Cost is basis of decision. So to compare with alterntvs we include n.exp.
