Doubt in claiming Input Tax Credit
A person registered under GST in July. he had some purchases in previous months , is he is eligible for claiming ITC for previous months??

No, because the supplier could not make Invoice in his firm's name with mentioning GSTIN for the previous months and would have shown the transaction in b2c.
As per Section 18 R/w Rule 40(1) Yes you can claim ITC on Input held in stock on the day immediately preceding the date of the grant of Registration by Filing ITC .01 with 30days
