Quick Summary
This discussion explains how to correctly record dividend income and the associated Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) within Tally accounting software. It provides a clear journal entry to reflect the gross dividend received, the TDS deducted, and the net amount credited to your bank account. The guide also touches upon how this TDS can be adjusted against your final tax liability at year-end.

Bank ac 5400
tds deducted account 600
to dividend received 6000

then in end of year we can adjust this tds recfeivable in withdrwals by paying tax so the entry gets settled

Dividend tax can be computed
