Distribution of input

we have branches in all over India & having separate gst registration.

We have taking consultancy from abroad person and pay rcm igst on this charges.

The said consultancy bill is in the name of Head office.

Currently this igst input taking in head office books of accounts.

Can this rcm input required to be distributed on turnover basis to all branches.
If yes ,what is the method.

  • Yes, you are required to distribute the ITC related to common services, including those under RCM, to your branches.

  • Method: You must use the pro-rata turnover basis formula as prescribed under Rule 39.

  • Action: Ensure your entity is registered as an ISD and follow the workflow of paying RCM in your regular return, transferring it to your ISD registration, and then distributing it via ISD invoices and GSTR-6 filings.
