There are a lot of discussions happening over the last few months between the various committees involved in preparing the Union Budget and the stakeholders.

There has been a consessus among a team of ministers to increase the grautuity limit from 350000 to 1000000.

It is expected that the stimulus packages that were released during the global economic down trend for the economy will continue.

Safety of the student is another major benefit considering the physical pains that our students are undergoing in Australia.

For the economy, this can be a double benefit for our foreign exchange: one, investment will come in; two, outflow of foreign exchange due to students going abroad for higher education will come down.

I hope these all be considered in the budget 2010 to be presented by FM on 26th FEB.

THANK YOU

WHY CST HAS NOT COME DOWN TO 1% YET IF U WANT TO INTRODUCE GST IN 2011 AT LEAST????

Please bring back standard deduction for salaried class....... :(

As if they don't have expenses to go by, only business man has or what?...... :(

Pls Increase 80C, 80CCC, 80CCD limits to Rs.150,000/- and 80CCE to 200,000/- as well.

@ GK.. IT allows amount incurred for earning the income.. n in case of salaried personnels, the expenses r of personal nature  n not expended 2 earn the salary..!

@ ankit, i am not arguing with u here,

Nowhere do salaried class get a deduction for their expenses, which are in a major way connected to earning the salary, like good clothes, shoes, travel to their office (i am not talking palrty allowance covered by 10(14) when petrol was RS.30 a litre). etc.

Today a shirt costs Rs.500 and food we eat during office hoursc osts at least Rs.40....  is that not incurring an expense? Where is the deduction to salaried people?

I am not asking for 1 lakh standard, deduction, even a moderate figure like 15,000 - 30,000, (being close to Rs.2000 expenses in a month), will be fine. Real income is not matched by real expenses.

Its not an outrageous demand, it was there in the old provisions.

I think middle class people will get some benifits from this budgets.

Since prices of food items are going high, sure there will be some provision.

What do you think?

Will private sector employee benifit?

As many of you might be aware that because of recession last year there was no incriment last year also  most private sctors do not provide DA, so I am curious, how goverment will take decision on consumable products.

please allow interest on Housing loan as it was in Direct Tax again in the New Direct Tax Code .please dont remove  as it might have hurdles for many of them
