Is this mandatory to take director's resignation in writen in a private limited company ?? I mean to say that if one director has e-mailed me for their intension to resign so can this email is sufficient for legal matters.

Yes, this e mail may be treated as a valid resignation and this mail be placed before the board to be treated as resignation. It will be attached in form 32.
However, it is advised to take physically signed letter from director to avoid furture problems.
