I would suggest u to take classes as DT is vast in itself and also u have other subjects too.
yes you can still clear the exam with self study. but i wud rather suggest you to use modules of a student who have attended vg sir's classes as the points made to note down by vg sir, do provide more clarity on technical aspects
Yes...it is possible to clear DT through self study. I studied from Girish Ahuja, didn't attend any coaching class for DT and cleared. So, study confidently.
As your examination is due in November 2016, you have sufficient time to cover Vinod Guptas modules on your own. We are almost talking of nine month period in your hand. Devote minimum time of 2 to 3 hours daily for DT from now on, so that during your examination leave you have good control over all subjects including DT.
Do study from Vinod Gupta's books and solve Practice Manual, RTP. That is enough. You can also solve mock test papers. DT is everything we've done in our articleship. So in my opinion no need of classes.
Myself agri gradute,i have retail pesticides buisiness.but i am not aware of taxation knowledge,that's why i am always in confusion of taxation,so please advice me what can i do for better knowledge of taxation.::::thanks

DT to clear, you need to love the subject and be passionate during your articleship dealing with clients in taxation matters, all books ll have same so called stuff, its a law and no book can alter its base, all u need to build your memory and practice..
