Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common query regarding DIR-3 rules: can the company of appointment be changed after a DIN is applied for? The consensus is yes, with advice to obtain written confirmation from the original company that they will not proceed with the appointment. It's also suggested that a resolution to appoint the director could be proposed and fail to pass with a majority vote.

Yes you can do so.. take intimation from the company that they don't want to appoint that director for your records.
I think resolution should be proposed in the meeting and it should be fail to get the majority vote.
