Dear All,

I am thankful for this forum, it has been a great help for me.

For Your Information, i am Indonesian, not Indian who is applying for DIN.

And i need another particular information, as follow:

1. I already submitted my first DIN-1, but later i found out that my residensial address was misspelled, BUT i already made a payment through credit card. My question is can i use the same SRN for another fresh DIN? since i knew from this forum that you can not changet the datas in submittde DIN application.

2. If i have to make another payment, i have to use an offline (CHALAN), can i transfer the money through any bank otside of INDIA?

3. I got every docs attested by my home country's public notary, and i think it should be sufficed.

Thank You for your kind reply,

ERWIN

Dear ERWIN,

1- The details of Form DIN - 1 can not be changed. And would not like to discourage you, but it may be so that your DIN application might be rejected by MCA DIn Cell on account of Address mismatch due to spelling mistake. No, obviously one SRN can not be used for another DIN application. SRN is generated as soon as one makes a DIN application.

2- You can make the use of Internet Banking for making online payment if don't want to use CC.

3-Yes, it is sufficient if the documents are attested by notary of your home country.

Hi

Agree with Ms Mitali........

Ms Mitali view is ok.In case your DIN is allotted then you apply DIN- IV

I see, thank you for the answers, right now i made my second payment through other visa card,

And i have it with me:

1 passport copy, translated professionaly , and notarized by Indonesian's notary

2. birth certificate translated professionaly , and notarized by Indonesian's notary

3. but only 1 application form with photo on it, attested by notary is still in Indonesia

can i get my form attested by gazzeted officer in India or any qualified person in India? since i'm afraid that i don't have enough time to get my docs to be sent to Hong Kong, and i am leaving very soon to India.

and also, can anyone give me another information, not regarding DIN:

if i want to change my tourist visa into invesment visa, how long the process will take, and is it possible to do it in India?

editted: huff, i also made an affidavit for my father's name as my last name and have it notarized,

yes, i fully agree with mitalli, but yes after obtaining the DIN No. you can apply for DIN IV for any modification in the particulars of applicant.

Dear Erwin,

You can get the documents attaested by MD/CEO/Company Secretary in which you are appointed as director. Go through the following FAQ at the MCA site:

Details of a valid passport should be filled in form DIN-1 and a certified copy of same should be attached with DIN application. All supporting documents including photograph should be certified by the Indian Embassy or a notary in the home country of the applicant or by the Managing Director / CEO / Company Secretary of the company registered in India, in which applicant is a director.

ok, i think i have to go to India first, and do things one step at the time once i get there..

many thanks

DIN number is needed to whom? Is it applied to aseessee? Ply rly

No, DIn No. has no relation with Income Tax. Assessee should have PAN No.

It is mandatory for a person desiring to become a Director in any Company.

DIN stands for Director Identification Number.
