DIN Affidavit

While applying for DIN, if the proof does not contain father’s last name we have to add father’s father’s name as father’s last name and should make an affidavit in the format  provided in the MCA site.

Can we make an affidavit  using  surname/family name as father’s last name? Is it acceptable by DIN Cell?

 In my view

Assume, Fathers Fathers Name is  ( A - B ) where 'A' is the name & B the surname

Assume, Father Name is  (C)

Then the last name for Father along with his father name will be

( C A B ).

In the above case if Surname "B" is not available,

then the name has to be  ( C - A )

Hope its Clear.

If you have no proof with surnames then you can proceed with Affidavit & get notarized

as you cant file DIN without Surname.

Other contrary views solicited
