Dilemma after MBA Whether to go for CA

hey praveen...first of all congratulations on completing ur MBA....U can go for either of the courses i.e. either CA or CFA...both are equally good....If u dont want to work abroad, then CA can be a good option...but doing CA wid ur job would require lot of efforts frm your side.....CFA will help u to understand the global market which CA wont...so if u r interested in Investment Banking, equity research,, etc kind of stuffs then CFA wud be right for u....all the best

If u go for CA ,U need undergo Articleship for a period of 3 and half years.Then only u can write final exams. Joining CA at this time is not useful as for me concerned.Better go for CFA

Praveen, The CA course focuses primarily on Financial accounting and law - Business & Tax laws which are RULE based. Exams test you on how much of these rules you can internalize. Careerwise, each time you face a problem, you turn to the rule book. On the other hand, Finance and managerial accounting are logic based. To master them requires a completely different way of thinking. They are more difficult as well as rewarding and satisfactory both from the learning and earning perspective, If you want to get into Core Finance, you'll be better off with CFA (the International one) as Rahul said. Hi Friends i am Anand Surya i did my MBA Finance in 2007 now i am working as a Finance Executive for a MNC company US operations now i would like to go for CORE finance for that i need to enhance my skills by studying Fiancial courses like CA,CFA so on... dear members kindly let me know which course is more help ful for me i would really appreciate for your answers..
