Hey friends,
I am in a dilemma as to whether I should give both groups or one group of Final Old Course. I had my first attempt in Nov '09 wherein I had given both groups and couldn't clear any.
I just have around 80 days in hand and 8 subjects to cover. Should I switch over to one group coz of the time constraint or keeping the set-off in mind- opt for both.
I am in a dilemma. Help me wid your suggestions please.

Obviously giving one group is the best option given the time constraint and time for revision.
no one can answer this question on behalf of you .
your yourself is best judge of it.
ha ! but others can only help in making it better.
rather than thinking in of whether give one group or two group.
Try to find , in which areas you lacks/week etc etc.
and over come on it first and rest will follow automatically.
80 days are than enough considering "not a first attempt for both group".
This time have some change how u study, make your week points as strenghts,, you can clear both the groups in may-10 only .
jus think on it.

Give more importance on conceptual understanding rather than solving hundres of problems or reading thousands of pages of theory .
Sucess will automaticlly follow you .

I Think -
Fill the examination for Both Groups
Now pick up any 1 Group first for preparation (I mean either 1st or 2nd),
Since u are aware of the subjects so I think u would easily cover 1 group & then assess the status if u can prepare another group & if u think that not much time has left for preparing all the 4 papers of that second group, then u can go for exemption in one or two subjects..
LOOK IF U APPEAR FOR ONE GROUP ONLY THEN ONE THING IS SURE U HAVE TO APPEAR AGAIN FOR ANOTHER GROUP BUT IF U GO FOR BOTH GROUP THEN WHO KNOWS.....MIRACLE MIGHT JUST BE WAITING TO HAPPEN..............

Possibility of passsing CA is more when u apper fo both the groups.

Go for both the groups wid out any hesitation... Dnt at all be in dilemma for this...

PLEASE DON'T ALL DILEMMA IN THIS MATTER.
Go for both groups.. you have already appeared in nov . so u know the contents.. put ABC Analysis.. analyse as to what went wrong in the previous attepmt.. rectify those mistakes..give repeated revisions...

but u may frame a strategy to target ny 1 grp as of ur choice n appear 4 both..... ths is wht evn i m doing....

GO for both groups !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and Keep the faith in GOD!!!
In my accordance, you have to give both group but when you preparing your study then in that time you should make your one group very strong and little study in other group. in that way your atleast one group will be clear and other group will be ready for next attempt (if you not clear in other one)
By giving exam in other group, you know atleast the pattern of exam
