Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies that the same digital signature (DSC) is used for filing both GST returns and Income Tax audit reports. It's a signature card used by CAs, CSs, CMAs, and Directors, and its validity is independent of the PAN. While DSCs are not mandatory for TDS/TCS returns, they offer the convenience of online filing. The conversation also touches upon the availability of DSC classes, noting that only Class 3 DSCs are now being issued, replacing Class 2.

No, both are same for filing return
Okay....on the base of PAN?? because in income tax site for digital signature, PAN is entered
DSC is a signature card which is used for filing returns and approving it by appending in the form by CA, CS, CMA and Directors of the company... It's same whether for income tax or for GST, irrespective of PAN
It's same for income tax and gst

Can we use one DSC for all Returns like GST, Income Tax, IEC etc? Which class is best for everything? Class 1, 2 or 3.
Yes one DSC can be used for filing all returns
Sourav Bhai, DSC is mandatory for TCS Returns? Which class would u recommend? Class 1, 2 or 3 ?
DSC is not required for TDS or TCS returns
I think class 2 ab, nhi ban rhe h, only class 3 ban rhe h
Sorry, It was a mistake DSC is required for TDS statements also

DSC is not compulsory for filing of TDS Returns. But using DSC, assessee can file TDS Return online directly without visiting TIN-FC, and no physical signed Form27A required. Now onwards, Class-2 DSC will not be issued. Only Class-3 DSC will be issued. Class-2 DSC issued earlier can be used till its expiry period.
