Different interest in Cgst and Sgst
My payment of tax of Cgst is more than Sgst so thus on late filing of return my interest payment for late filing return is coming more of cgst than sgst...so problem is i have to pay more interest in case of Sgst which is actually not...but due to auto population of interest of Cgst in tab of Sgst, Im facing problem of paying more interest as same as of Cgst...of Sgst which is not actually as per calculation...

I have the same query. The only inference from this auto filling of figure is that the portal expects interest to be calculated on the gross liability instead of Net liability. Only when interest is calculated on the gross liability will the interest amounts of CGST and SGST be the same. There is a press release dated 22.12.2018 which says interest has to be calculated on net liability. However this is not what the portal accepts.
Yes. The press release is expected to be notified. But no notification is issued saying interest is payable on net liability.
Try once filing through offline utility..
