Can You highlight the difference between

Form ASTR 1

Form ASTR 2

Form A

used in service tax administration. May I request to inform which form to be used for making a refund application for input service tax paid on input services used for providing service that is being exported.

The 3 forms are uploaded here for your ready reference. Look forward to your considered views.

HI

We use Form A for claiming refund for claiming refund on input ST paid against exports. I am not really sure about the 2 other forms.

Respected Prasad

Thanks for Your feedback. The responses to such posts is very rare. May I enquire if

Form A is to be filed quarterly or 1/2 yearly

The application is to be filed within 1 year from date of receipt of export proceeds or 1 year from date of payment of input service tax

Is there any time limit for submission of Form A.

Regards,

Form A is to be filed Quarterly.

for Jan11 to Mar 11 qtr, you have to file before 31st March 12.

All supportings for export realisation should be filed along with the application, usually they take the figures from your returns for the purpose of computing the exports value.

In case you have specific questions you can reach me on phone.
