Gst 3b - can we edit submitted gstr 3b

It is possible to edit GSTR 3B . edit for correction in wrong figures in wrong columns

From GST help Desk not any Reply Yet and the Due Date is 20/08/2017

I think error in gstr 3b will be forgone once gstr 1 is filled
since gstr 1 will go invoice wise we can upload correct data there.

though I am not sure, by the we can hope so

further just mail your problem to helpdesk incase they come up with innovative solutions

what I am sure is if tax is paid whatever mistake is done can be edited after submissions

I too have the same issue. First of all I sent a mail to helpdesk @ gst.gov.in then I got a reply mail as below //Greetings , Thank you for contacting us. This is Helpdesk Automated Response Desk, confirming the receipt of your request. Your Request ID SR 983500 has been registered with us & Request Status is OPEN. We are working on the issue reported and will update you soon. Thanks & Regards, GST Helpdesk helpdesk @ gst.gov.in Helpdesk Contact Number: 0120-4888999// Then I called the helpdesk number selected language as English and waited for the call centre representative for nearly 5 mins. Initially they spoke in Hindi as I am from Tamil Nadu I preferred to talk in Tamil or English. Then they transferred my call to another person a female. She said even if the GSTR 3B is wrongly filled it cant be corrected and the tax has to be paid. Once GSTR 1 is enabled, we have to fill the correct data there. which will result in auto correct of GSTR 3B as well as the additional tax paid will be refunded.

Same issue here too. Actual refund became payable due to the incorrect filling. And gstr3 got submitted. Called few and got adviced not to file it.We can fill in the correct details in gstr1 and file it on 05.09.17 so that gstr3 will get corrected. But there is the chance of losing Rs 100 per day subject to a maximum penalty of 5000. So that's it. This has spoiled my day. This is too bad indeed. Mistakes are natural in the beginning phase.
