Is there any provision that Rate applicable on works contract is highest rate of supply item which is part of transfer of property while execution of works contract? Pl clarify

no there is no such provision. Under gst law, works contract is treated as a supply of service and rate of tax applicable is 12%. The highest rate of supply item is in case of mixed supplies.

Supply and installation of lifts is works contract. Is it fully taxable at 18%, despite the fact that Lifts are taxable at 28% ?
