I am planning to start a proprietoriship firm. I have options of getting VAT/CST registeration in either Delhi or Gurgaon.
I would like to know which of these places will be better for registeration in terms of
1) Expenditure for Registeration
2) Time duration for registeration
3) Hassle free future (meaning less trouble in returns filing etc.)
4) Other factors which may be important

Dear Mr. Roy,
In my view, Delhi will be good place for registration. However it is also important to know that where you are going to start your business. Delhi or Gurgaon?
And, in terms of money & statutory fillings, Delhi is also good compared to Gurgaon.
Also, in Delhi, till 31st March, 2013, No security is required to deposit with Delhi VAT Department and it takes only a normal time to get registration.
