Import of forklift under epcg

We are manufacturing company. We are going to purchase forklift for our company. i need to know if we purchase the forklift than what will be the output product.

Because we will use this in our plant & warehouse. how we will close this in DGFT.

u can import it through the chapter-3, chapter-4 Licence Issued BY dgft.

we will import under EPCG, but as the final product is not any export goods but it will use in our factory warehouse my query is how we will get EODC from DGFT as we have no export goods under this licence.

in case of failure to fulfill export obligation or any other condition of authorization , authorization holder shall be liable for action under FT(D&R) Act,1992, orders and rules made thereunder, provision of FTP and customs Act,1962.

my question is what i need to show in export output if i import a forklift under EPCG, because we will use this forklift in our factory warehouse and we are manufactureer exporter

First of all there are issues in getting the Forklift EPCG license since it is of dual nature. To assure the same you need to approach the DGFT HQ and take the valid permission since reginal offices may give you the licnese but onus will be totally on the co. to prove the same .

Further if you get it, then you can show your general export product .

Import of Forklift may be allowed to Import under EPCG,if the forklife is used conly within the Factory premises and prove that the forklift is required for loading and unloading of final products and Raw materials.If proved and allowd manufacturer should export their final products for fulfilling the Export Obligation.
