I have 2 agreements (1) Rental Agreement for Rs. 30,000/- per month and (2) Furniture and Fixtrues Agreement for Rs. 10,000/- per month for the furniture provided.

In the above scneario, for the purposes of HRA rebate, should it be treated as Rs. 40,000/- or is it to be treated as Rs. 30,000/- only

I am a Tax Assessee under "Individual" category

u should only for Rs. 30000 for h r a exemption because it is necessory  to bifricate the above mentioned figures. u did it and claim exemption for rs 30000. if u r not able to bifricate. differ the figures proportionatly

only 30k is HRA

if your company paying for furniture also than 10K is taxable as perk

For HRA purposes it is Rs.3000o only & on furniture as perquisite @ 10% per annum of the actual cost of asset or the

movable asset amount of rent or charge paid/payable by the

employer as reduced by the amount, if any, paid

or recovered from the employee. Laptops and

computers are exempt.
