Filing IT return is not complusory for her. But it recommended to file the return as it will help if in future some loan is to be taken.

It is not necessary but it is desirable to file the return of income even if it is below the exemption limit.

its not compulsary.....and if you file the return...the assessing officer wont accept the return.

Any ITR in which income is below the exemption limit is not accepted by any ward !!

Hello

yes it is not compusory to file return  when income even if it is below the exemption limit.

but Apoorv it is not the case that assessing officer will not accept the Return.

we can file return even if our income is below exemption limit.......

@ durgesh....i am from delhi and here AO's of all the wards dont accept any ITR in which income is below exemption limit. They say this nil return are useless for us !!

@ Apoorv: No, AO can't deny. May be in Delhi, due to burden of ITRs, he is saying so !!

Yes Apoorv..... Obovious we can file every return irrrespective of income...

and if in delhi.... AO's are not accepting then you can complaint for that otherwise go for e-filling....

but remember we can file return u/s 139(1)

Hi harshit,

mr. apoorv is correct.

AO can deny to accept the return in which gross total income is below the slab as circular is also issued by the IT department in May 2010 regarding this.

let us know cpoy of circular.....?

Agree with Durgesh...

it is not compusory to file return  when income even if it is below the exemption limit, however she can file return

since her annual income is below exemption limit no need to file IT return........

It is beneficial 4 her to do so. i would like 2 know the details of the said circular...
