WDV Depreciation calculation as per companies act or AS to be done based on no of days or Month in a year ?

For e.g Asset opening value 10,000 and depreciation 10%, for an year Rs.1000.

April=10,000*10%/12 or 10,000*10%*30/365 ?

If calculated in Month basis, then for May Month Depreciation calculation will be done on Rs 10,000 or (Rs.10,000-(10%/12)) i.e Rs.9916.67.

Kindly state me , if any statement available regarding this is in schedule II or AS 6.

My question is depreciation to be calculated in Month or in days? for each Month and on which amount to be calculated?

For income tax act depreciation is calculated for 180 days and more.. If more than 180 days then full year depreciation otherwise 6 months depreciation... And in as depreciation is calculated on no of days... AS 6 IS now deleted... Now AS 10 PPE and schedule II is relevant
In slm depreciation is calculated on original cost minus scrap value... But in wdv depreciation is calculated on opening wdv value
Simple... 10000 - 10%*10000=9000 become closing wdv... In next year 10% depreciation is calculated on 9000 in case of wdv but in case of slm on Rs. 10000

Thanks Mr.Divakar, I want to know as per Companies act for WDV calculation whether to be in days or Month. if Month see my example

Depreciation calculation for year okay. But for Monthly calculation and accounting each Month i want to know

As per as it is no of days and not in month... And as is applicable to companies
Charge full year depreciation if asset is being used for more than 180 days... Under it act... For preparation of MIS report divide it by 12

Thank you Mr.Divakar
