Demoralised during articleship

Its justt four days and you are getting impatient! They cannot assign you important task right away, so you will get to do most of the work gradually not at once!! You got three years to spend as an article and tally is very small thing... once you got to work on it you will be bored of it within a month!! By the the descripttion of your office it looks like very small... even normal homes have more than one pc these days!! 

If I recall I was assigned no work for 1st month when I joined articleship... was just goin through audit manuals and previous year audit files!

I Would say, I too joined articleship 2months back, it began boring, i spent time reading, sleeping or playing mobile games, I just spent 2 days on real work rest 28 days of the month were like idle standings for me...But lately, now, I have started to take over, i search for work, interfere in other's business, handle clients personally and give them reviews and win over their confidence.

I know it sounds like some general talks, but believe it, its so general a problem you talking about......articles often begin in low mood to end in good one, you should calm down and be hopeful to seem belonged to the firm you have joined now.

To talk more about my articleship, now I have become most trusted in my firm, every client wan'ts my opinion and every work is routed through me......with every i mean most of it and ignore the high profile clients such as banks as these are always under CA's supervision. Although a major difference between my and your firm is, In mine i am the only article with 3 employees who have 10,2,2yrs experience but not the knowledge we articles or i should say half-CAs have. Though, we also have one computer, but I always liked it being an IT guy due to my family background so I use the computer more than any one else, and my CA sir has got himself injured lately so he talks to me via phone and allows me with anything i ask for, I have built this trust by working late even till 11-12pm often, though coming late is also in my habbit....
 

So i would say, look into whats going on around you, find there mistakes and tell them infact request them to teach you that, respect the senior article and tell him about your requirements for work.....believe me, soon you'll have the unlimited work that you'll think of having another junior beneath you to delegate the work to.....
