Demand notice for fy2009-10

Hi experts,

Received a demand notice from CPC for AY 2009-10 to pay the tax of 97,380. I didn't received any communication or notices for this AY. I counter verified the ITR and observed the TDS information was missing. I done through e filling for the first time with the help of a colleague. I verified the 26AS clearly showing the TDS as I am a salarised person. Request how to correct this TDS information.

you can reply the demand with a copy of 26AS and Form 16.

If credit of your taxes has not been allowed in the notice, you can file a rectification u/s 154 online (in case of e-filed ITR) detailing therein the particulars of your tax deducted. In case of amnual, an application u/s 154 alongwith copy of form 16 or 26AS is required to be filed with your AO.
