2 of my relatives got an email from the same id, its a scam, the person called telling shes from mysore and kept asking to pay the amount due, but when i checked on the official income tax website, there were no demands. others have also reported the same here shorturl.at/hs479 (had to change url to post here), the scammer seems to have replied on this website with the name 'Indian Income Tax Department Officer' telling its real, and has even managed to get a verified badge on truecaller, also not sure how but the email id is probably spoofed.

So please login and verify on the official incometax website and dont pay any other person claiming to be from the itd. https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/help/authenticate-notice-faq
