For FY23-24 my ITR was processed properly and there was no demand no refund.
But a few months later the online status changed to Demand Due but my ITR, and Intimation 143(1) was proper. There was no demand menioned anywhere. I even redownloaded the intimation but there was no demand shown therein, it was clear.
I checked complaince portal as well as outstanding demand sections and there was nothing in there.
I raised a grievance and I was told that demand < 100 rs will be automatically settled in next refund.
This year FY24-25 there's a refund of 170 Rs and all 170 Rs got credited to my bank account.
So things are not adding up. The status of 'Processed with demand due' is wrong, but it's unclear wny the status changed to that from 'no refund/no demand' on its own last year!!
Any explanation shall be great. As such there's no action on me whatsoeever at the moment.
