Demand

We have received a demand notice u/s 156 we went to appel but the Income tax autorities are directly withdrew from my bank account without our notice.So please tell me whether incometax autorities have such right to drawn their amount directly from our bank a/cwhile issu pending in authorities. If yes please provide details regaring the sections or caselaws.
