Section 225 of the companies act uses term retiring auditor, my query is what does one mean by retiring auditor? who is the retiring auditor?

RETIRING AUDITORS ARE THOSE AUDITORS WHO RETIRE AT THE FIRST AGM OF THE COMPANY AND HOLDS OFFICE TILL THE NEXT (AGM).
