Defective ITR acknowledgement receipts

If you've submitted a defective Income Tax Return (ITR) that has been processed, but you're unable to download the acknowledgement receipt from the portal, don't worry. A separate acknowledgement number isn't issued for defective returns. Instead, you can find the filing of your response to the defective notice under the 'My Proceeding' tab on the portal. Download your receipt from there.
