I am an individual. I have given donation to a cancer patient now my question is can I get the deduction benefit? If yes then how much amount I can take as deduction. Is there any rules to take the deduction benefit?

As per IT act, no deduction/exemption available for such good cause; but somewhere else, definately..........

u can get deduction if donation given to trust having 80g certigicate

Ok that means you want to say that if I will paid the donation to cancer patient then I can't get the duduction benefit.

Actually this cancer patient is the patient of Tata Memorial Hospital, can I get the deduction benefit if I will make the payment to Tata memorial Hospital directly instead of payment to cancer patient for treatement of this patient?

if that hospital has 12AA registration, and are giving you a 80G receipt then it would do good

How may I know that the hospital is registered under 12aa or not?

GO THROUGH SEC 80G INCOME TAX ACT 1961

jus ask them if they ll give 80G receipt. That single question will do. If yes, you could proceed

but I don't need to attach anything related proof of donation along with itr..
