Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a query regarding debit notes issued by suppliers due to short GST charges. The recipient wants to know if they can adjust this amount against their own tax liability. The consensus is that if the debit note relates to a purchase where GST was initially undercharged, the recipient can indeed claim the input tax credit (ITC) for the difference and use it to offset their tax obligations in GSTR 3B.
If it's received from Suppliers against Purchase,(i.e at time of Purchase, short GST charged, now it's charge at difference amount) than you can take credit of same in your GSTR 3B and use that ITC for set off your liability.
