we received a debit note for sampling sale
now we need to issue a credit note, how we treat this according to GST.

Use the Invoice reference and with a title of credit note in place of tax invoice

What is the reason for receipt of debit note ?

If there is any defect or return then you may treat it as sales return & issue credit note

Product use as a sample for taste or like something

Ask you supplier to supply such sample on Tax Invoice & later issue the credit note for the same .
