why do we make provision for depreciation ??? wy dont we provide direct depreciation??

Are u working for a company, if yes the same prescribed by Schedule VI otherwise you can direct debit to asset account at the year in case of partnership firm etc.,
we cant make direct depr becoz provision for depr is the assumption not accurate....
