Death of proprietor

Dear expert,

Mr. A was running business in proprietorship but unfortunately he had died on 10th May19 but the staff of its concern continue to sale the product till today with old GSTIN and collect GST from its customers, can business be continued with the old GSTIN in proprietorship of his father or new GSTIN must apply. If new GSTIN apply, what about GST collected from customers in old unit?
