Company has to appoint Auditor (vacancy caused by death of auditor). This is the case of  Casual Vacancy which can be filled by BOD. New auditor will sign the audit report after discharging his duties.

so an individual can be appointed as a statutory auditor of a company is it....??

i did not know that.

thanks for the info.

regards..

"Individual Chartered accountant "  can be appointed as an Statutory Auditor of a company, if he satisfies the qulifications as per provisions of Section 226.

Dear Dheeraj,

Amitis rite that death of the auditor is a case of casual vacancy in the office of the auditor & to fill this vacancy board can appoint any person fulfilling the requirements of Sec 226...

as per company audit 2 sec.224(5) death of auditor is a case of casual vacancy which can be filled by BOD.................

subject tosec.226(2,3)qualifications &disqualifications,an individual CA can be a statutory auditor...............

An auditor is a auditor till the conclusion of next AGM. His death will create a casual vacancy

which can be filled by BOD. But here Audit of the books is already undertaken and it can be assumed that next AGM is close to be held and casual vacancy may not be filled.

Conclusion:- If casual vacancy is filled ,auditor appointed in casual vacancy will sign audit report otherwise

auditor appointed in AGM will Sign Audit Report after following related AAS.
