HI DUDES & DUDETTES,
I want to share some vital info with u...As regards CA final Group 1 ..PAPER 2 deals with MAFA which includes DERIVATIVES as one of the chapters.IN CWA stage 4 paper 18 & 20 deals with basics of derivatives & valuation of Futures & option..& not as detail as discussed in CA FINAL.
BUT THE SAD story is students will die in CA final to learn & revise derivatives but no sum will come in exam only small theory they will give or else they will not ask any thing..But in CWA though the material on derivatives is very little they have asked STRATEGIES in option /futures & futures MTM calculations..
So friends trend has changed ...dont leave the chapter just bcoz no questions have come in past...COZ it has come in CWA..& for CWA final students shd have to go 4 additional reference book to tackle those kind of problems on derivatives ...MATERIAL IS NOT AT ALL SUFFICIENT...PAss on the message to all ur friends..
LET THIS NEW YEAR B A WIN WIN YEAR 4 all.

I kept u waiting 4 too long....:-(.
Step one:General Advice : go conceptually....
Next: First B thorough with the study material including the sums given at the back(revisional problems) and suggested answers....if u do this alone definitely u can get 45-50
Last step: would be additional ref book(provided u have time)
In my opinion the best book would b MAFA by PATTABIRAM snowwhite publications for ca final is enough 4 student level to tackle the exam. reason being very easy & lucid manner he explained... for more detail mail me at shivan_b @ yahoo.com.
