Dear friends

Recently, Govt. of India made some decisions towards reforms in Economy of Govt. ( you can say Indian economy).

1. Hike in diesel price

2. Limit on no. of subsidized gas cylinders

3. FDI in retail

Is the decisions made by Central Govt. are good enough? Should they be kept or roll back?

What will be the effect of current decisions on Indian economy as well as common Indian?

What else reforms you suggest Govt. should made?

Your feedback and views are welcome

today i read an article on "fdi in retail" by mr. Arif farooqui.

In their article, I am disagree on some points mentioned below

1. He compared decision to apply VAT with FDI, which is not fair.

VAT is purely internal issue and FDI is different.

2. "Elimination of 5 crore middlemen is good".

Really?

There is high unemployment in India. This will add more. Think about them. How will they readjust their lives again.? After including their family members (assuming 4 per family) depend on them, there are 20 crore lives.

3.Reduction in food inflation

They have single brand readymade cloth stores in India. Check their prices. They are costilier then local stores. How will they reduce inflation? In long run, they will charge us more

4 they will save wasting of food

Why you hope so? Foreign countries like USA are ahead in wasting resourses.

It is lacking on the part of Indian Govt. Due to lack of food stores, Every year many tonnes of wheat etc. get wasted. It is a duty of Govt. not companies like walmart

Hope you will agree
