Can anybody tell me what is the existing rate of Central Sales Tax?
Wating for you reply,
S. Banerjee
Existing CST rate applicable from 01/april/2008 is 2%, earlier it was 3%.
See www.unionbudget.nic.in
2%
Dear,
Can anybody tell me about notification of rate reduced to 2%?
If form C could not be issued /full rate of tax of the billing state will be charged.
Regards
CST rate has been reduced to 2% vide Finance Bill, 2008. Is there any necessity to issue a separate notification?
The CST rate without C form is 4%.
In the Finance Bill 2008 The UFM has proposed to reduce the CST rate from 3% to 2% but till date that has not been Notified. Under this situation what rate will be applicable ?
My dear Naikji,
If it is not sure[without form c rate is 4%], we should keep silence, baseless answer create confusion as well as bad impression of members of CACLUB.
with warm regards
sunil
I agreed with you
CST applicable at present is 3% only. Revision in rate is still not effected as all States have not yet accepted rate of 2%.
