Has the CST Rate changed from 4% , if yes then for what %

& the Local sales tax for karnatka has been changed?

Now CST is 3%. for the financial year 2007-08.

yes, it is 3% effective 1.4.2007 and the same will be reduced by 1% in each FY 2008-09 & 2009-10 and will be no CST from 2010-11 due to the implementation of VAT

Effective from 1 4 2007 it has become 3% and by the end of 2010 its going to get abolished..

Mr Amit. whether local sales tax is 2% (please concern present CST is 3%). Is it necessary to issue C Form?

Mr. Vijay. I Think there is no need to issue C Form, whether it is applied Local sales tax (less than 3%).

C form is required to be issued, if some one wants to avail concessional rates. In this case C form is not required.
