Cs training structure

I am B.Com graduate and I want to pursue company secretaryship. I have some queries related to the training structure which I have summarized below:- 1) What is the period of training applicable to me assuming I enroll in the CS program as on 15-Feb-16. Is it 15 months or 3 years? 2) I have heard that ICSI modified its training structure. If so, is it applicable to me? Thanks in advance

As you’ll be registering for CS-Executive after 01.04.2014, following three alternatives are available under the new training structure:

- Either 3 years on registration to Executive Programme, or

- 2 years after passing the Executive Programme, or

- 1 Year after passing the Professional Programme

Thanks DG for your reply, what are the other mandatory training a candidate is required to undergo other than the ones mentioned above.

YOU HAVE TO UNDERGO MSOP AND OTHER 15 DAYS TRAINING UNDER SPECIFIED AGENCY(I.E. ROC/MERCHANT BANKER/PCS).BUT IT HAVE TO BE DONE ONLY AFTER PASSING YOUR CS AND COMPLETION OF ARTICLESHIP.

Do I have a choice here? I mean that can I choose to do 3 years of training on registering for the CS-Executive programme or study at home for the CS-Professional Programme and then do 1 year of training after passing Professional Programme?

i would suggest to do 1 year training after Professional if you are confident enough to clear it as early as possible or 2 yrs training after executivr.

To answer your question it is yes that choice is yours.how much industry exposure you want to accumulate at tym of becoming professional. Why don't you consider also taking the full tym course conducted at Pune.

Thanks to everyone for sharing their wisdom.
