Got a msg that Crn expired....i hv generated a challan but got a msg that crn expired on aug11.....and i thought of using it in revised return ,is ther anyway to use it now....

If payment is failed then it will be expired within 15days if the payment is not done using failed CRN.

However you can use CRN was successful

If payment was successful then CNR expiry do not come into the picture.

Expiry is applicable to unpaid CRN

If payment is done then it can be used as a tax credit

Without tax paid challan it can't be claimed.. ..On successful payment for CRN , challan will be generated and which can be used for tax filing by using details like BSR code , challan number, amount, date of payment, bank name
