Credit note in GSTR 9

Any credit note issued in FY 2018-19 for the original invoice of FY 2017-18 needed to be declared where in GSTR 9?

No..... if such Credit Note is not part of FY 2017-18

In my view, it is a transaction of 18-19

Transaction occurred (taken place in 2017-18) shall be declared in GSTR9 of 2017-18

Credit note issued in 2018-19 belongs to 2017-18 is translation of 2018-19 only

So, no need to declare the same in 2017-18 GSTR 9

yes U R correct , 5E table of 9C ask for such Credit Notes , but mostly column will fill nil value

but how can we show credit note in GSTR 9C without showing it in GSTR 9???
There must be some place where we can show it in GSTR 9...

Actually the original Pattern to file GSTR 1 which was not implement which needs to record such Credit Notes & This column of 9C was designed to capture such Credit Notes , but as it's being not recorded in GSTR 1 , so no need fill any data therein

while preparing your financial statement, did your auditor considered such credit note in financial statement of 2017-18

which means your total turnover excluding credit not which issued in 2018-19 - correct ...??

you will have to report in gstr 9c only which values declared in your financial statement

if your auditor considered credit note which raised in 2018-19 in 2017-18, I hope the interpretation of accounting principle applies in your financial statement is wrong

please check , such credit note won't be there in your financial statement

It's being already discussed that such credit note shall not be part of turnover for FY 2017-18 . As it's being not reported anywhere in 9 , but in 9c under Table 5E , it is being required to report .

I am completely disagree

when something is not part of your financials
how can we add with my turnover and show

since at the inception I had no idea that that transaction will be occured

according to me
such transaction is part of 2018-19 in all the manner

that play no role in 2017-18 gstr 9C

Mr Siddharaju please check GSTR 9C there is an option over there to enter such value...

option is not remedy to fill everything sir

you don't have to fill every option given in GSTR9C, that will effect to your 9 return

if there is difference in GSTR 9and9C, portal won't accept the return

you don't have to consider my opinion
but I am very clear about this sir

(unless such credit note taken in to consideration in your financial statement)
