Let number of 50 paise coins = 4x

Let number of 25 paise coins = 2x

Let number of one rupee coins = x

Total amount = (0.5)(4x) + (0.25)(2x) + x = (2+0.5+1)x = 3.5x = 56 Rs. (given)

=> x = 56/3.5 = 16

Thus, number of 50 paise coins = 4x

                                                    = 4(16)

                                                     = 64

so, d ans. is A) 64.

Now 4 similar question ans....

Let number of one rupee coins = x

number of 50 paise coins = y

number of 10 paise coins = z

Given that x:y:z = 3:4:5

So, let x = 3m, y = 4m, z = 5m (i.e.where m is an integer.)

Total amount = 3m + (0.5)(4m) + (0.1)(5m) = 187

3m + 2m + 0.5m = 187

m(3+2+0.5) = 187

m = 187/5.5 = 34

Thus,

x = 3m = 102
y = 4m = 136
z = 5m = 170.

so, ans is A) 102:136:170.

Thanks very much bro for ur timely help........... god bless......

u mst welcome bro......:)
