I don't know about your qualification. If u r a CA and wanted to do CPA, u have to get ur educationl documents evaluated by an foreign educational service.. then they will send u an evaluation report... which will tell the number of units u have . and then u have to send application to the state board of accountancy for approval of cpa exam..

after which u will know.. whether u are elligible or not..

There are 4 subjects in CPA (Auditing and attestation, Business Envirement and Concepts, Financial Accounting and Reporting & Regulation). You can takeup four subjects at atime. Exams will be conducted in first 2 minths of every quarter.

Fee would be approximately $400 for all subjects and additional cost for travelling and boarding.

good that u want to pursue a course which is world wide accepted.

CPA (USA) is easy to clear but only hurdle is the VISA process. US consulates do not give VISAs for writing exams easily, unless you have GOOD connections in US. Invite letter from company or a close relative is good enough.

Before investing too much in study material and exam fees just check for the above.

I've been to US on official purpuse but couple of my frnds VISA applications got rejected. I m not scaring you but just for ur information.....


GO AHEAD... if you need material I have books for all the subjects (Gleim Publication)... as evn I was pursuing the same but postponed due to non-availability of time....

hi swati, why don't you join icfai cpa programme in which you got 13 papers relexation and icfai course would be equivalent to usa cpa as this university is striving to make its course at par as usa. contact www.icfai.org when you complete your cpa you will be available to get 6 paper exemption in cfa programme which word renound prog
