Corporate & International Tax

Hey guys,

Need some opinion on corporate & international tax as a career line. I am contemplating joining as an associate in this division at pwc.

I liked international tax in ca final and even took it as an elective. But my articleship was entirely audit based so I am unaware of the actual happenings in this division.

Anyone got any opinion? How the job is? How the future is? Scope of growth?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Core Responsibilities: Advising multinational corporations on cross-border transactions, transfer pricing, tax structuring, regulatory compliance, and managing global tax risks.

  • Skill Set: Requires a strong understanding of the Income Tax Act, Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA), international tax treaties, and BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting) guidelines.

  • Growth Potential: This is a highly specialized niche. As businesses continue to globalize, demand for professionals who can navigate complex international tax landscapes remains high, offering significant long-term growth and international mobility.

  • Working Environment: In large firms like PwC, the work is often intense, deadline-driven, and client-facing. It involves a mix of research, advisory, and litigation support.
