anybody knows how to convert any numbers in excel into Indian Rupees in words.

Dear Pravesh,
Yes i do have a excel sheet that have some macros in it, it is also having the trick you want,
herewith is excel file.
Just save this file in your system,
open the file, enable macros,
you will see a new menu namely "praveen"
just click that you will find 4 macros, 1 is "number to words" just click that, you will get what you want.

check this excel addin , u have to use formula =num2text(a1) a1 is cell of the amount

Please find attached VBA code.. you can copy & paste in VB Module in excel & then use function spellindian to convert number in words.

I hate using code and i generally use an online tool to convert numbers to words:

This is the Indian Version (talks in Lakhs , crores rather than million billion)
and you can add prefix and suffix like Rupees and 'only' tpo the beginning and end I find it very useful :)
