CONVERSION OF FINAL OLD COURSE TO NEW COURSE

HI,

I had called the Institute and they said that all they need is a handwritten application, with all your details, requesting them to convert you into the new scheme and a 1100/- DD for new study mat.

Can somebody please confirm if this is indeed the procedure.

All you need is to download Form for conversion / switchover from old to new course alongwith 1100 DD and submit at any branch.

As regards examination point of view there are contraversy whether one can apply without registration or not. if any one is clear pl revert.

as per my experience got on 16jan 2011.

conversion of final old course to new course is very easy..just go to ur regional office..and collect form available there.free of cost..and you need...

1.xerox copy of old registration letter..

2.xerox copy of Articalship completion letter..if any,

3.xerox copy of PE 2 passing certificate.

4.Rs.1100/- DD..in favour of regional office.. THE SECRETORY, ICAI.PAYBLE AT .KOL/DELHI/CHENNAI/,......

These xerox copy should be attested by CA..

after submitting all these above,you will get latest STUDY MAT..and dont forget to collect latest study mat..at least for DT and IDT..

for exam,,read only STUDY MAT..,COMPILER , RTP ..and nothing more..

i think all question comes from study mat..70 % question  in accounts..

for MICS ,COST mgt,MAFA,and law. do all self question given at end of each chapter..

DON'T ignore STUDY MAT,compiler,RTP,and supplementary study paper for DT and IDT..

I don't Know whether it is optional ?? 

like if you do not need Study module then whether you need to pay 1100 /- or not, I don not know.

hey anybody can tell me if a student has already passed in 1st group & his cost paper is exempt...whether he will get the exemption of cost paper??

yes...exemption will get....but he has register himself into new course by paying a DD of Rs1100/-

I am an Old course student. I have cleared first group of CA Final . But since then unfortunately missing out on second group every time, by narrow margins. This time also i lost .

My question is, do i need to follow any procedure for converting to the new course or will they convert me automatically? I have seen an application form for conversion, in which they are asking all the historical details like the DD number for Intermediate course etc.. I am not able to understand the logic behind these questions..If i have already alloted new regd,no. starting with NRO .

Seeking your valuable advice....
